Front brakes howl when just about ready to stop

Welcome to the club. The tech. probably was kind enough to get anti seize or grease on your rotors when he was installing the wheel. There are brake cleaners available at automotive supply shops that may help but sometimes the crap gets embedded in to the pours of the brake lining and theres not alot you can do but replace the pads. Good luck

Had the same problem with the rear brakes on my Fatty. When I came to a stop, they sounded like an elephant trumpeting. Tried new pads, chamfered the pads, new floating rotors;nothing worked. Then, the service manager at my dealership said to try some Brakleen. One shot, & 3 months later--total quiet!
