Hi,
Just restored my late Uncle's 1968 Electra Glide. I replaced the rear drum brake linings, new after market wheel cylinder, cleaned out the brake hydruaulic lines and rebuilt the master cylinder and used DOT 3 synthetic fluid. MY PROBLEM IS. I can only drive the bike 5-10 miles before the wheel drags and I have to crack the brake bleeder at the wheel cyl. I have bled the brakes to death to no avail. It is hard to believe that air could exist anywhere but some old sages say that I have to prop the bike up so the master cyl is above the wheel cyl to get a proper bleed. The Glide only had 20,000 miles on it when I pulled it out of the hay barn where it has been since the mid 70s. SURE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT RIGHT TO DRIVE.
THANKS
RJ
