New D402 tire noise!
I'm hoping someone can shead some light on my new dealer installed front and rear D402 tires on my 06 Roadking. Both generate tread noise (mostly the front) at 30-40 mph. The noise tapers off above/below this speed range. 35mph is the loudest with a droneing sound. Bearings run cool, rotors cool to warm.
I logged 1000 miles on them already and hoped they might quiet down after breaking in, but it looks like I may be stuck with this for the life of the tires.
Anyone else dealing with D402 noise issues?
Update, 2/16/13: I believe the noise is due to over tensioning the drive belt when the tires were put on at. Heat build up on the pulley is my reason for thinking along this line. Due to medical issues, I haven't had a chance to readjust the tension yet. Will update when I get this adjustment set.

I had some noise from the D402's on my 99 Softail Custom till I got about 2 to 3 thousand on them. Now I only notice it on some road surfaces when slowing down. Hope yours quiets down too. They do wear very good, and I like them a lot. I have about 5,000 miles on them now, and they still look almost like new. I do keep close to 38 to 40 pounds in the front, and the same in the rear.
