Angry No rear brakes

I have a 2009 Tri Glide. About 3,500 miles my emergency brake quit working. At 11,000 miles I mentioned it to Harley, and the shop guy said to bring it in and he would look at it. He found the brake shoes had completely wore down to the metal. And had ruined both rotors. I could not hear or feel that they were bad. Harley-Davidson said they would not fix it under warranty. HD really living up to their name HD HUNDRED DOLLAR

Not trying to be a smarta$$, but if you noticed a problem at 3,500 miles and never looked at it yoursely, or never mentioned it to a dealer until 11,000 miles, I really can't say it is an HD issue. More of a user/operator problem. JMHO (unless there are more details that you left out of the post).

I hope you're not looking for sympathy! As owner you do have a duty to look after your bike and should have visited your dealer when the brakes first stopped working. Take greater care of the poor thing in future.

nocer....if they put the same components on there that came stock on the 09 TG...they will be good for another 10,000 miles-or-so and you can do it all over again. Hopefully, some of these other 09 and 10 TG owners that recognized the rear brake issues early-on and have gone through all this will chime-in and give you some pointers on aftermarket pads that will last a lot longer.

Brakes on the 09 and 10 model years were problematic. I think Harley has improved them on the 11 model.
