i was wondering if there was any diffrence besides the obvious in 40 spoke wheels and 80 spoke wheels i have a 2005 sportster that has the alum wheels and i wanna switch to a spoke wheel i seen some on ebay that seemed like a good deal 40 spoke wheels with the factory dunlop tires mounted blanced and trued,just dont wanna shell out 550 bucks and realize 40 spokes are weak or bend.

 

40 will be fine, that's what my bike came with stock.
