Default Wheel size change, Speedo caliberation??

Not that it is really going to matter, but what do you do to recalibrate your speedo, if you change up to a larger diameter wheel. I am going from a 16" to 18". How far out would the speedo be? What have you all done. Some of you go up to 21". Where is the speedo read out located, off a wheel, transmission, or where?
Thanks

I don't know what type of bike you have so I will assume that it is made after 1996 in which case the speedo is run off a tone ring in the transmission thru an electronic pickup.
They make an electronic speedometer calibrator but you will need a dyno or depending on what model you get you may be able to use a gps to set it. They come with directions on how to reset the speedo.
