goodyear and dunlop warrenty is the same. here is what it says:

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company does not warrant or give credit
in any adjustment transaction for any kind of material added to a tire
(e.g., tire fillers, sealants, balancing substances) after the tire leaves a
factory producing Dunlop tires, nor will it adjust any tire that has failed
as a result of adding such material

the way i interpet that is that they will not pay for your dyna beads nor any damage they cause. it DOES not void the warrenty.

they balancing beads sold for heavy truck tires that are available at most truck tire suppliers look to me to be the same as dyna beads. it's what i used. way cheaper and locally available.

I interpret that language to mean they will not warranty a tire if, after leaving the factory, any type sealant or balance substances has been added.

But the Magnason-Moss act says unless it can be proven that the added substance was the cause of the failure of the tire, they must warranty their product.

Frankly, I don't see where beads rotating inside the tire can cause a failure.

To those who have installed these things themselves:

One oz. of beads per tire? I'll try anything once, and I'm getting tired of getting raped when it comes to replacing tires. I replaced the stator in my charging system a few weeks back, I figure I should be able to handle swapping a tire eh?

I used Ride On balancing which is a sealant also for my Fatboy.
Takes 30 sec to squirt it in.
This stuff balances the tire perfectly.

Also put in the Counter Balance beads into the wifes Honda Accord and my Dodge HD 2500 4x4 Diesel.

These things work very well also-- Very, very smooth running.

I had the tire people for the auto and truck, balance the tires first, then break one side and add the beads. You want to add at mounting. You really do.

They use a lot more that 1 0z though .
There is a table at the websites for all these things.

Thanks Gunny,
I did some more searchin' on their web site & found the application charts. Looks like basicly 1 oz for the front & 2 oz for the rear. ( if your running stock tire sizes )
Luckily there is also a tire shop here in town that sells the beads retail, shipping through the manufacturers web site was 3 times what the product costs!

Default They Work

Yes, they work. Just installed a new front tire on my 90 FXSTC and used them. Simple in theory, took me just as long to install as the simple balance method show in the youtube video link below. Valve stem kept clogging and I would have to clean it out. Not hard by any means, but it did take about ten minutes. The rewards though, guaranteed to balance your tire. All the professional tire installers that I spoke to about them stated, when they have a tire that simply won't balance, they use these. Which means that it works on the most difficult so it works on all of them. I spoke to five seperate installers and they all said the same thing. Saved me an easy $100 in labor charges......

Default dyna beads

get someone from Dyna beads, or equal or any of those companys to put in writing that their product will static and dynamic balance a tire!! They induce a random harmonic that helps eliminate resonance, but if they say that the product will BALANCE the tire and wheel assembly, get it in writing. Does the product make the ride feel better? Yes in many cases, but you better get a good understanding of what is realy happening. To get the best results, the assembly must be round, True the wheel and tire. Then equalize the rotating forces. Dyna beads do not fix the problem, they mask the problem. So if your happy doing that, stick the beads in your tire and ride. If you want to fix the problem, True the tire and wheel and then balance the assembly.

Ican, your right.

Spoke wheels can be troublsome but must be mads right first.

Get all right and balanced then put these kind of things in.

All my road machines get balanced then the balancing material goes in. Fine tuning.
Including the 2500HD 4x4 dodge pickup.
