Front Calper Bolts

Unhappy Front Calper Bolts

07 FLHTC,caliper won't move socket rounded 2 star nuts,tried vice grip ,any suggestions

Try a 6 or 8 inch pipe wrench.

do these bolts take a socket that's basically a torx, but female? a 12 point socket would likely spin itself around knocking off the peaks of the head of the bolts if that's the case. i'm with xwhyz about the pipe wrench. welding a bigger nut to the one that's giving you problems is what i'd do. that would give you the heat for releasing the loctite and also a better size nut to grab with a socket and impact. if all else fails, seek professional help.

i would like to know also what socket? 12point or what ever?

12 npt 10 mm works fine

Just re placed mine they had red lock tite on them so i had to tap the torx wrench with a hammer
