Default 2010 Heritage Darkside

After much research (reading) I have come to the conclusion that many fellow motorcycle enthusiasts have...

Ordered my Vredestein Comtrac 175/75-16 this morning, and will have Dyna Beads on hand when needed.
I'll try and update with pics and info as I continue down this 'dark' path.

You will be one happy man. Just wait until you ride two-up, what a difference! lol. Remember to change one thing at a time, as in rear tire only and test, then whatever else you are upgrading (front tire shocks, etc) If you change one thing at a time, it will make it much easier to isolate a problem, like a wobble or instability.

Regards,

Vredestein Comtrac 175/75-16 is due to arrive Friday, Nov 5.
In preparation for that, I removed the rear wheel.
Aft slip-on removal required for axle removal.

Took me about an hour to remove.

Fed-Ex guy delivered tire shortly after last post.
First try; new tube blew at 50 psi.
Second try; tube held and bead seated at 70psi.
Thanks to the guys and gal at Bikers Bay for mounting.
Due to work and previous commitments, tire won't be mounted 'til Saturday.
*EDIT*
Tire installed! I'll be riding to work tonight (30 mile round trip).
More pics and opinions to come.

Excuse my ignorance but that looks like a car tire! Is that safe for steep lean angles?

Yes it is a car tyre and there is a small group who like to try it. Weird but true!

Nice! I couldn't get one to fit on my Deuce so was forced to take another approach. If one car tire is that good, two must be really awesome:
