Default 6 or 4 piston caliper? 9/16 0r 11/16?

Hi, im going to upgrade my single front disc brake to a PM caliper and master cylinder. If i use a 6 piston, do i need an 11/16 bore master cylinder or 9/16? Does a 6 piston caliper just bolt straight on? Is a 6 piston going to improve the braking significantly compared with 4? Any help would be great. Cheers

You can buy 4-pot and 6-pot calipers that will bolt straight on. I have twin 6-pots on my bike, with the stock twin-rotor master cylinder, so I guess you do not need to use a different size. If you are planning to buy both caliper and master cylinder from PM I suggest you phone them and ask. They will ensure you get the correct parts for your bike.
