Default Hawg Halters

I've got an '02 RoadKing with Hawg Halters up front. It's time to change the pads out. Can I use any HD, aftermarket pad, or will only the HH fit?

I've honestly been kicking around a brake upgrade soon. I've looked at that hawg halters and the PM's. I was curious about pads and how hard it was going to find them. Have you been happy with the HHI?

Without a doubt. They are stop on a dime, way better than the stock brakes were. No drag or softness in them at all.

Why don't you just call Mark at Hawg Halters and ask him? Great people to do business with. I would also recommend the upgrade to the Lyndall Z plus pads.

They are not the same pads as HD's......But they are the same as PM's..

And yes on the Lydalls..... They are listed in Drag Specialties under LRB

Sorry to post this in multiple threads, but I'm hoping to get some real-world info from Folk's with hands-on experience with these expensive, aftermarket kits.

I just put a HHI 6-piston caliper (basically the same an a PM) and floating rotor on the front of my 2007 Softail Custom.

The instructions included from HHI say to allow 250 miles of city riding to allow the new pads to bed. However, after 50 miles, I can say that I'm not thrilled with my present stopping power. Will this improve over time?

Additionally, the front brake seems to be dragging a bit. When I raise the front wheel and give a firm hand-spin, I only get a little over 1 revolution per spin.

My caliper is centered perfectly on the rotor, brake is bled correctly.

How many revolutions should I be getting?

Thanks
