I'm wantin to go from the stock 16" wheels to a set of 18" spoke wheels on my fatboy, I would like to know what tire size i need to go with front and rear and if there are any issues that i will run into in changing to a bigger size front and rear, and another thing, I'm having trouble dealing with my local shops, they act like they dont care if i spend my money there or not and that just doesnt sit well with me so if you guys have any places that i could try i would appreciate it, and im not sure which spokes to go with either, 40,60, or 80, i would just like some input, thanks

 

40 spokes are common an easier to clean, polished stainless spokes look like chrome + will not rust excel chrome aluminum rims are lighter, american wire wheel makes sealed wire wheels, do some searching, also a 4.25X17 rear is a nice replacement that will not effect rear height, with lots of sport touring radial sizes, check avon tyres for wheel + tire sizes + fitments, measure your available room between forks + swingarm etc + choose

I hope this might help I put 18" font and rear on my RoadKing using a 140 in the front and a 150 in the rear using Avon tires and I really enjoy the look and ride .

 

18x 3.5" for the front and 18"x4.25 for the rear. 130x18 tire for the front and 150 or 160x18 for the rear. You could do an 18x3.5 wheel for the rear too, It depends on how wide of a tire you want in the back. If you wnat a 150 tire in teh rear get a 3.5" rim.
