Check your air pressures, often! While on a weekend trip this past weekend, I felt the front end just wasn't the same. I would run between 35-45 MPH, take my hands slightly off the bars, coast a bit and the front end goes in to a wobble. Come to find out, the book and stealers don't tell you to use a higher pressure as they want you to have a more cushy ride. Problem is, the stock or factory pressures are low and can be dangerous! The pressures created the front tire to cup, ever so slightly. This slight cupping creates a wobble that could turn dangerous. The tire was worthless at 6400 mi and adding more pressure to an already cupped tire, created even more wobble. A new tire was put on at Reno HD and solved the problem. Just don't want anybody to experience what I did, so, please check your presures.

 

Second that. I felt a wobbly front end. Front tire was under 20 lbs. with a thorn in it.

 

Not only will the higher pressure let you feel the road more and handle better, it prevents the tire from more heat build up, wear better and last longer. I now run 36-38 up front and 38-40 rear. What a difference!
