Default Brake pad swap

I just finished up changing out the pads on my 01 Ultra. They were'nt quite worn out but with 44500 on them I figured to change them out now rather than later in my short riding season. Now the question, why did Harley use 1/4 inch 12point bolts for the brake pads wgen everything else on the brakes is metric? It's not that big a deal, but I had to go beg a Snap on socket from a mechanic buddy because no one in town had one in stock. Guess what I gonna buy next? If the new Kevlar pads last as long as the stockers I'll probally lose the socket before I ever need it. Jetsam

I've just fitted an 07 rear caliper to my 1990 Glide and wondered the same thing! I don't have a buddy with one so had to buy one. In 3/8" drive and with 12 points it's quite cute....
