Default Need help on replacing rear tire and rim

HI, WOULD LIKE TO TRY CHANGING THE REAR TIRE AND RIM . MY QUESTION IS I HAVE THE SERVICE MANUAL AND THERE ARE LIKE 8 STEPS . I UNDERSTAND STEPS ONE THROUGH SIX . BUT 7 AND 8 I NEED SOME HELP ON . ARE THE LAST TO STEPS 7 AND 8 NECESSARY . I HAVE 10,000 MILES ON THE BIKE AND THE THREADS ON THE TIRE ARE , WORN DOWN BUT RUNNING VERY TRUE ON THE TIRES . STEPS 7 AND 8 ARE DEALING WITH THE TOP STABILLZER LINK . EVEN MY DRIVE BELT IS RUNNING TRUE .

I HAVE A 2007 FXD DYNA SUPER GLIDE . THANKS FOR THE HELP

I would not touch the top link unless you have a wheel alignment problem. Changing wheels and tyres will be fine.

Skip steps 7 & 8 if you don't have an alignment problem.

/agree - dont worry about alignment unless the current riding conditions are unstable (ie it wobbles like hell).
