how do you determine the proper spacers to use on a front wheel? my bike has about 1/4"-3/8" gap where my wheel is moving laterally and throwing my bike completely out of alignment!! please help.

 

i realize this is probably a common sense question, i just dont know how tight and precise the spacers are supposed to be to keep the wheel balanced.

 

What model of bike are you talking about? I don't have any spacers on my bikes. Give us some more clues!
