noticed today stop light wasn't working. tail light works fine just no brake light.

discovered a frayed connection right at the rear brake light switch. put that back together and still no stop light.

sounds like it's the switch, right?

one odd thing...I had a dude work on my bike last year and he did some wiring, and for some reason there are now three wires coming off the rear brake switch. Manual shows two, orange and red. He's got a blue one coming off one post and the orange/read together coming off the other.

I can't figure out why he did this, but it was working just fine and has been for a year.

anyway...i've looked at the wiring pretty closely and I don't see any shorts or anything.

used a tester and get nothing at the switch or the blue wire, but both orange and read light up

any ideas?

alright, well, bridged the wires and voila brake light, so it has to be the switch. took the old one out and it is just that...OLD looking. Reading around I hear these fail a lot.

seriously...if I had a chick that was this much trouble she'd have been gone months ago. amazing.
