Default V-Rod brakes on 49mm Forks?

Couple questions on 49mm forks and brake part interchangeability. Would changing a stock Dyna caliper to a V-rod caliper be an upgrade? I'm looking for used parts, and was curious if all the V-Rods have Brembo calipers. And this might be a silly question, but does the V-Rod caliper need the floating rotor or will it work on a standard rotor?

If not, do the 49mm Dyna forks require anything special as far as brakes? What is their interchangability with other models? I've done some searchign, but come up with some conflicting info. Some say they interchange from 2000-up and some say you need a 300mm rotor. Thanks.
