Default 81 Sportster front brakes don't work

I'm working on this bike for my buddy. It has been sitting in his garage for 5 years. The brake fluid reservoir was bone dry. After filling it and bleeding the brakes, there still seems to be no pressure in the system? Any ideas? Could the master cylinder be bad?

Thanks,
Mark

Pull the pads off of the front and rear calipers. Once that is done spray brake cleaner and scrub with an old tooth brush until clean. After that try the brake lever and pedal to see if the caliper pistons are moving and if so all pistons should move/operate at same rate. More than likely the pistons are stuck due to old caked on dust and debri.
