Dunlop Elite 3 tires
Help
I just installed a set of E3's on the road glide after using 402's forever.
The reviews on the forum and other sources said they were great riding and cornering tires.
Ok, they corner better than a 402 ever dreamed of but I can not say the same for the ride. I feel every crack, rut & nuiance in the road. Oh yeah especicially bridge crossings and RR tracks.
What experience do you guys have with these tires? What air pressure are you running to get a good ride quality. I am running them at 40 PSI per my tech but also tried 36 PSI without a noticeable difference. Thanks for your help.

I had an E3 that I didn't think was so great untill I had to replace it with a 402 because I got a screw in the E3 and the dealer wouldn't plug it for me. I had about 3K on the E3 and showed little sign of wear b ut the 402 is no match for the E3. The E3 out handles, grips wears, and helps stop the feel of some of the tar snakes. When my 402 wears out I will be going back to an E3. I run the psi the tire and my manual recomends.

I got less than 4k on my stock Dunlop.
11k on an Avon.
5k on a Metzler.
Less that 3k on my last Dunlop.
I'm going strickly to Avons from here on.
The Avon was, hands down the best riding, cornering, longest lasting tire.
I'm taking the Dunlop off the front too (2nd one) even though it has 5k left in it.

Yeah i agree springer lol hahahha! What is "silvrbil" doing on the dunlops. Must be an english mate lol true avons are great, but the price oh my lions n tigers n bears! Metzlers were **** worst tire i had a chunk of rubber peeled off from the rear and the wear pattern was wierd will never buy metzler again. So far good with dunlops 402 & 401, but now elite 3's r the way to go! My bike sits lower handles n rides alot smoother. 130 18" in front & mu90 16" rear. Mu90 fills the fender well. Looks a little wider than 140 but not quiet a 150. Plus can't beat the weight rating!
