Crickets in the front brakes...
Howdy all:
I'm getting a sound like crickets (or maybe cicadas?) when I apply my front brake. Brakes work just fine - no complaints there - but the sound is a little weird. Pads and disc are in good shape.
I found another reference to a cricket noise from a 3-year old post here, but the dude just mentioned it; he didn't say what was the cause.
Any ideas? Something I need to concern myself with?
Thanks...

RaoulDuke you are not alone.
I don't know the answer (yet), but I'm having the same problem. I changed both front and back brakes about a month ago, and the last week the bike started with the crickets in the front end. No real change when the brakes are applied, maybe a little louder. I haven't noticed much brake dust from the new pads, and the bike stops great.
Maybe someone here has an anser. Good luck.
