Brake Fluid Question...Need Answer Fast!

did you drain and flush your system? DOT5 does not displace water very well. It has to be flushed and replaced every so often.
do yourself a favor and buy a vacuum pump kit at autozone for bleeding the brakes.

I have a leaky gasket on my front brake fluid reservior,06 dyna lowrider, I bought a new gasket yesterday, guess I need to flush the system and add some dot 5 thats what they gave me when I asked for brake fluid ? I think the reservior top say add dot 4.
should I bleed the system or use a syringe and pull the fulid out??

my 06 came with dot5 on the front and dot4 in the rear. your fluid should of been replaced at least once by now. Do you know what they put in it? If not, I would completely flush and fill with dot5.

I dont know, Im the second owner of this bike, the reservoir top says dot 4, but you never know. I will flush , replace the gasket and fill with DOT 5
