Using whitewall paint, you would have to re-apply the paint often to maintain the look you want.

Tire sidewalls continually flex as they are being used (especially on motorcycles), so all of that heat and friction will break the paint bonding down.

True whitewall tires are actually part of the tire and have their whitewalls bonded with the tire during the manufacturing process, allowing them to flex with the tire during use.

The problem is that there are a limited number of tire sizes that are available in whitewalls. If you have a size that isn't covered, then you have no choice but to utilize the whitewall paint if you insist on that look.

I hope that this helps!

Cheers

My Metzlers are about 2 years old and have 7k on them. I clean with Simple Green first to get any oil or grease off then I use Soft Scrub with a Mister clean magic eraser ( real easy ) then put Armor All. They stay clean for about 2 to 3 wks. They still look new.

Careful with the ArmorAll...if any of that stuff gets into the tread area, then you can have some real problems...!

I had a problem with the Bleche White. I think it may have become more acidic over the winter. Used it last season, worked great, whitewalls were very bright. Used it last week, didn't make the whitewalls much brighter but stained my wheels something awful. Polished them with Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish and that took care of them but I doubt I'll use the Bleche White again. I think the Simple Green/Magic Eraser may be the way to go.
