Default Front Axle Gap

I just painted the lower fork sliders on my 07 NT and when I reinstalled the front axle there was a gap between the the spacer and the right fork. the way it seems is that the wheel and spacers are held to the left side fork with the axle and nut and the right side is just free to clamp on to the axle where it sits. So the question is do you pull the right fork over or is there just supposed to be a gap there. any help would be great

Leave it where it is, or you will bind the bushings. The gap is deliberate to avoid things being spread appart. Machining it to be exact would be a pain in the a$$ with so many tolerance issues between all the different parts. You are good to go.
