Default Leaking around bead

I went out ride the EG and the back tire was flat.
I filled it and looked for nails or screws in the tire.
There were none.
The tire has ride-on in it so it should not leak from a tread puncture.
I sprayed soapy water on the tire and wheel.
It is leaking all around the bead.
The tire is about a year old and has maybe 2000 miles on it.
What would cause this and how do I fix it

Rim not being clean when the tire was mounted. Not enough lube used when seating the bead. Bad spot in the tire on the bead.

It could be a number of things, but you said "all around the bead". That phrase bothers me a bit. Usually when you have a leaking bead it's only in one spot. If it's all the way around I want that tire off and inspect both it and the rim closely.

I've had a leaking bead on an old alloy car wheel, which was down to a combination of corrosion and lifted paint. Your first call I suggest is to remove the tyre and check the condition of the rim, for damage such as dent or corrosion, also the condition of the tyre beads.

Air the tire up about 5-10 PSi more than it calls for, spray a generous amount of soapy water around the bead and then thump the tire moderately with a hammer. Should seal back up. Then correct the air pressure.

I'll give that a shot.
If it doesn't work I'll take it to the shop and have it dismounted and inspected.
Thanks.

1995 Electra Glide Standard.
It was a build up of rubber around the rims.
I had both tires removed.
I had the rims cleaned with a plastic grinding disk. It is softer than the rim.
The tires now hold pressure without leaking.
I was told that this is common in factory cast wheels from this era.
I hope this helps someone with similar troubles.

Not just that era but ANY era..........cast wheels should ALWAYS be cleaned when changing tires, your experience is common when they are not cleaned properly.
