I heard the vibration problem might be limited to a specific front tire size. Could you guys having vibration issues comment on the front tire size you are running and which HD? My 2011 Electra Glide Ultra rides on a 17 inch front.

Did you get it looked at? What did the shop say? Get new tires?

That was the thing Ive been wondering. If issues are with the smaller rim sizes or newer bigger rims. Ive swapped the larger Talons on my 16 and hoping no issues with a set I just ordered.

Just thinking out load. Why would buy Michelins Motorcycle tires for at least a year or so after reading most of these posts? Most have seen my picture of my Michelin Commander 11's now problems with the Commander 111's. Me personally I was hoping they made the fix on the Commander111's because they handled very good. Now all kinds of reports of variations still ****. put a lot of miles on my bike each year 20 to 25000 each year for me I would never use Michelin tired again until the problem are ironed out. What's it take someone to be killed by these tires. By the way you don't see others bitching about other brands. The only way these tires are going to be fixed is to stop buying them.

I understand your concern but these issues are few and far between. Plenty of us with no complaints on C3’s. I ride about 20,000 miles a year myself and if I was that worried I would change them out. Lots of us complain about the OEM tires, or we wouldn’t be searching for other options. If the Michelin issue becomes big I’m sure there will be a recall. The tire you posted a picture of is probably one in a million. It’s the first motorcycle tire I’ve seen in that condition, and I’ve run many tires down to the cords.

I've got a set of Commander 111's supposedly on the way they've been ordered about 3 weeks now. While the issues a few here have had with there Michelins are very concerning for sure I've seen similar pictures of Dunlop , Avons and Metzler tires on these forums with owners vowing to never buy another of there problem tire brands. And to be honest if I had a tire come apart like I've seen on the forums I'd be mad as hell and be switching brands forever. Ride often and be safe everyone.
