Default wheel swap help if you have a second

my bike is a 2008 electra glide with alloy wheels, picked up some spoke wheels that had the HD #9247 bearings in them (1"x21x52mm) when i pulled them out of the spoke wheels and compared them to the new bearings i picked up from HD 9276B (25x15x52mm) so there in 6mm difference in the width, i plan on pulling one bearing from my stock wheels to remove the bearing spacers but how do i center the new bearings in the spoke wheels? can i even use these wheels? did i buy the wrong bearings for what im doing?

some help here would awesome

Bob

so if i got this right? i need to pull the left front (shifter side) bearing on my current wheel to get the shim and the right rear bearing for the rear shim? then install the bearings shim side first correct?

so since only one side has a shim how do i know when i have the shim-less bearing in the right spot?
im using a off brand installer like this one pictured

Correct ... and also use the original center spacer sleeves from your 08 wheels

The center spacer sleeve positions the 2nd Bearing

Reverse the "Installers" so that FLAT side of both "Installers" is against the bearings on both sides of the wheel...then it's impossible to "Over Press"

You can use the "Piloted" side of installer #1 to install the 1st bearing completely because it doesn't matter either way...then place the Flat side of the #2 installer against the 1st bearing and use Installer #1 Backwards with the Flat side against the bearing to press tight against the center spacer sleeve...Can't "Over Press"

You can start the 2nd bearing with the piloted side if you wish for your comfort, but reverse it when the installer just starts to enter the bore and finsh with it backwards

Make sense?
