To further that thought; when you mount a tire then you don't have a need for the Cycle Hill balance stand?
I think the Dyna beads are fine, just like the idea of a sealant in there, too. Lot of good reviews of Ride On on this forum.

I still use the balance stand. I rotate the tire around the rim till I find the spot with the least out of balance, then seat the bead there. Can make an ounce or more difference in out of balance before weights, if you use those. I use stick on weights temporarily to find out how much it really needs, then I'll use a bit more than that of Dyna beads. I suspect the folks that say they don't work didn't use enough; some wheel/tire combinations can be off substantially more than the Dynabead figures for various tire sizes.

It is a bit tedious to do all this, but it makes a big difference how much balancing weight is needed on some tires.

A couple quick question for you guys using "ride on", if your bike sits, say for a week or 10 days, does "ride on" settle and need to go thru the balance process again? How about after winter storage? Can you put in too much? They're website calls for 8oz for my Ultra, plus an additional 25% (2oz) for a tubed tire. What happens if you put in more than the recommended?

I haven't had any adverse effects from the bike sitting for a month so I doubt it would for longer periods.
