Front rim done...
So as part of my wide front end conversion of my FXDC, I've got my 16x3 FLHTCU front profile rim laced with stainless, on to a new WideGlide hub... trued and ready for rubber!
Need to work on some of the parts and get them prepped for paint..etc (triple trees and fork sliders)... rear wheel will be last part of the project.. same donor bike FLHTCU, rear 16x5 laced on to my stock FXDC rear hub.. .sporting a 180/65-16.
Gotta get her done before the main riding season hits though

I actually don't know... I'll have to ask him/search his posts... that would be quite the coincidence.
Update: well AFMM3 did that a couple years ago, and although it was a 16x5, it was a drop center rim. I'm using the 16x5 profile rim.. looks like smaller inside diameter.

I took another look at the hub/rim this morning, then took those measurements and put it on 2d CAD. I'm somewhere between needing 6" and 5.75" spoke length... rather be a little long than a little short... cutting threads is a whole lot easier and cheaper than adding them
Hope to hear back soon from Buchanan, for some confirmation.

New spokes in, and did a test lacing... man they cut them right at the limit I think. Not sure that when I get them torqued in, that none will be poking out... think I'm going to have to trim about .125 off of them just to be sure/safe, and allow for a little stretch and re-tightening along the way.
