Default Going to use an oder rim - where to get offset valved tubes

hehe... should have been 'older' rim...

Hey, I'm lacing up an older 3x17 rim to a wideglide hub. It's a steel deep drop center, and the valve stem hole is on the side of the dropped center, and not the exact center.

Been beating my head against the wall trying to find a tube with an 'offset' valve stem... is that really required?

Tire will be a 130/80-17.

Thanks.

I tried my 'normal" supplier and can not find one for you either. But out of curiosity, why a narrower rim?

It's for the front end... doing a 'fat' conversion... fat bob trees, wide glide sliders and hub. Rim is from an older Harley, 3x17 steel drop center.

Getting to the point where I think I'll just have the side hole welded closed, and drill a center hole.

I often dream of a 16" on the front of my Wideglide. And the rear come to think of it. I hate the 17" rear on my bike.

Check some of the online mega stores as they all seem to have offset tubes.

Turns out the rim is actually a 3x16... it was mis-advertised.

Which got me to thinking anyway... I was having a hell of time finding ANY hardware related to a spoked 3x17.... so change of plans... going to take both front and rear, and take them down to 16.. will use a 3.5 x 16 in front and a 4.5 x 16 in the rear, new spoke set and lace the rims on my existing rear hub, and the front on to the wideglide hub... at least I can get matching tires and won't break the bank on the wheels.

The rim I bought was a front rim, from a 3/4" Harley application.
