Default 17 rear 150 width

Thinking of getting new rims. I have looked everywhere for a rear tire of this size. Does any one make them?

thanks

Probably not! It is a relatively recent size and associated with wide rims and low profile wide tyres. A few Harleys have had that rim size, but 4.5" wide and with a 160/70 tyre, plus a wider fender. What mischief are you up to and what model of bike do you have in mind?

Some time ago when i contemplated making a 17"x 3" 28 "Knuckle" Touring front wheel into a REAR Wheel looked for the same size tire with a high load rating. I found the same disappointment. If you can move up to a 18", a 150/70B18 Rear Tire is readily available from the major players.

Was looking at the 3.5 and really dont want to go wider. its for a slim, want to show more of the rim without losing to much handling i've got now. 150 is the largest i hear you can go with out more mods. would like to keep the www as well :-).

so would you think if I went 18 front and back with 140 at the front 150 at the back I would lose some of the handling the slim offers now standard? it sounds like a winner

You can fit a 150/80 on your current 16" x 3" rim, which is the simplest way of getting a wider tyre, available in WW.
