And did they clarify why they say those Pressures?

Wheels and tires is our main business. We recommend running the MAX listed PSI on the side of the tire. I know...the manual says this. The dealer says this. That seems to work best for us and has been working for many years.

I spoken to reps from tire companies and they always say the same thing. Run what the manufacturer recommends. My tires sure would wear out a lot quicker if I ran manufacturer listed pressures.

This is what they wrote:
"From what I can see the only 21” front we produce in the 888 is the MH90-21 which has a min/max pressures of 36-40 psi. Our ME880 90/90-21 shows a min/max pressure of 38-42 psi. We find that running the tires towards the higher end of the pressure range rounds out the contour of the tire, improving tire life, and overall customer satisfaction with our tires."

Thank you. That is actually what the manufacturer recommended....run on the higher side of the pressure range.

So they are talking about the wrong size tire there. If you have a bagger you have an ME880 120/70/21. Max listed PSI is 50 which rides way too rough for my taste. I'd go about 42-44.

My tire is actually a ME880 Marathon 90/90-21 with min/max pressure of 38/42. Tire indicates max pressure is 42 psi. Contracted the local Harley dealership service department since they installed the Dunlop tube (HD 43140-80 which is described as 21” Dunlop inner tube with metal center value MH90-21) noted above and they recommended 38 psi which is what I am running both front and back.

Thanks again for the information and prompt responses.
