Default Mix and match advice?

For my 2001 EGC I have picked up a next to new,(thanks to multihdr and others on this board for the axle/bearing/spacer info) 18" Airstrike front wheel with a never seen the road Dunlop D408F 130/70B18 on it,looks like a matching MT/MU(130/140) rear for my 16x3 back wheel is not made, any recommendations for a suitable Dunlop rear tire or should I dismount and try to sell off that front tire and get a matching pair, either Dunlop or another brand?

In half a million miles I have only found a couple of occasions when mixed tyres have given me concern. I suggest you use the tyre you have on the front wheel and buy whatever brand you prefer for the rear and try things out. As like as not you'll be fine!

Dunlop makes an American Elite in a rear MT90-16, that would be a mate to the D408F that you have, the AE is the non-HD branded replacement for the 407-408 series tires.
