Default Caliper upgrade for twin disc 1996 dyna?

I'm going with new harley floating rotors, braided brake lines and pads. Should upgrade calipers while I'm at it. I'd like to use either harley vrod brembo, or modern 4 piston versions. What will fit my bolt pattern?

I've also read about fabkevin's caliper conversion kits to put nissin or tokico sport bike calipers on, that would be cool. His website is down, I'll try calling him..

Got fab Kevin adaptor plates, 2000-2003 gsxr 750 calipers from eBay, new pads, and had to source a 2000-2003 sportster front wheel for caliper clearance as well as the sportster wheel spacers. Hopefully it will it will all fit together.

Well nobody is posting, but I'll go ahead and keep with the updates. I got the wheel mocked up. Almost fits. Had to move the stock right spacer to the left side. Tried using a '03 wheel spacer kit, but doesn't fit. I'll need to get a different one for the right side. The rotor bolts on the right "just" kiss the inside of the fork leg-Calipers bolt up. The lower conversion bracket has very little clearance to the rotor- not sure how a nut and bolt will fit. I'm going to just tap that hole in the fork leg for a 7/16x14 bolt and thread right into it.

I'm wondering if the fork tubes are actually parallel to each other. If you release the pich bolts, will the lower tube move out away from the bolts!!
Its real easy to tighten the axle nut and draw the tubes together, in this case, 1/16th" would give clearance without grinding on the lower fork tubes. Just somethng I'd check if it was mine.
I installed a Storz Cerani inverted fork on my 01 Dyna, all spacers went back as original, all bolts cleared by 1/16th both sides. Calipers, 6 piston Hawg Halters, clear spokes by 3/32. I double checked wheel for centre on tubes, then checked for lower tube parallel, ok. good to go. fwiw Fastrider124

The pre 2000 calipers have a different bolt pattern than the newer calipers as stated and shown above so you will need an adapter. The good news is the adapter is available. I run the new Brembo's on my 02 Dyna and they transformed the bike to sport like stopping power.

Update- I figured out that the left side is a 1/2" spacer and the right is a 1/4". I have the 1/4" spacer on order. It looks like I'll be able to bolt it all up without having to clearance the forks afterall- it'll just be really tight. Parts should be here this week. Then I'll have to see how centered the brake pads are in the calipers to see if the calipers require any shims/spacers.

I'm going to tap the lower mount hole in the forks for 7/16x14 thread so I can just screw the bolt in without having a nut on the backside- which would interfere with the floating rotor buttons.

Spacers are in and the fit is perfect. Exact same clearance on either side. Will mount up calipers next and report back.

Yes, sorry about that. They fit and work perfectly. I'm using EBC Extreme pads ($$$) but they work awesome and are quiet. I had to drill and tap the lower hole because there wasn't enough room on the backside for a nut without hitting the disc. Hence the big hex bolt on the lower bracket mounting hole. I also had to buy a 2000 year model front axle- the tapers are in just a little bit different of a spot. The old '99 axle wouldn't give enough threads for the axle nut.
