RE: New Fat Boy
Welcome, I think everyone agrees that the quick detachable sissy bar is the way to go and as far as relocating goes, the kit
is a spacer to take the lights away from the fender a bit and is not that hard to do. I started out with the S.E. slip ons with
the baloney cut and liked them however I changed to the S.E. duel pipe with the power chamber, they look like the 50 cal.
pipe and realy like the sound and perf. Only problem was the $500 for the pipe. As far as the back and shoulder pain with the bars, thats a tough one. Fat Boy bars already come back pretty far, I have the 1.25" nuckle bar and love them but they would be worse as far as being a reach. So many bars, so many choices, try something with lots of pull back. Good Luck. Mark

welcome from so fla...enjoy the forums...i agree about the detatchable back rest, even though i went with a detachable tour pak mine never comes off.... never know when you need the extra space...lol..as far as handle bars....you can adjust them slightly, but if you still arent comfortable i recomend looking into the road king bars, thay seem to be longer so you can sit back a little....

Howdy, welcome to the forum. Congrats on the new FB and I think that you would like the SE2's. I have them on my Springer and I like the sound that they make. I had a problem with the muscles in my shoulders getting tired with the stock bars, so I went with some mini-apes. They have changed my riding position and I have more room to move around if I get a little tired of riding in one position. Hope that you are able to make your ride a little more the way that you want it. Enjoy the ride

RE: New Fat Boy
Welcome from Florida. I've got the detachable sissy bar with the luggage rack on my fatboy. I usually ride without it, but when we go on road trips, it's nice to have the extra space. Definitely get some loud pipes. I've got Vance & Hines big shots... I think they look good and sound baaaad! lol Also changed my bars to chubby t-bars. I have to lean a little further forward with them, but hubby says he likes the view from behind. Enjoy riding!!
