Can't believe I'm on a Harley ( and love it)
Ok new member from just outside of Buffalo (let the jokes begin) which is actually a great place to live. So here is my introduction story. I grew up on the Japanese Crotch Rockets and rode like the idiots I can't stand now. Wow does that make me feel old. I always said you wouldn't find me dead on a big old slow harley. Anyways met my wife while between bikes and fell in love yada yada. She didn't love bikes and life (kids) come along and its twenty years later with no bike. Last year my department added several bikes and expanded our program allowing a chosen few of us Patrol guys to ride when manpower permits. So here we go with motor patrol classroom with hands on instruction. Mostly a lot of slow maneuvering and parade stuff which was actually pretty cool. I rode a lot last year... then came this year. We trained again in the spring and we did high speed escort stuff (fairfax method). We basically shut down the highway and practiced shutting down ramps etc.. and I was hooked. I started looking hard and every time just told the wife I was looking. Well I ended up at the local Harley dealership because I wanted to look at the softail deluxe which I love the look of and found they are to small for my me. The sales guy who is a good friend of a bunch of coworkers said an electra came in which is what I basically ride at work. It was a nice bike but I couldn't take my eyes off this 2008 Road King Classic suede/blue and black that was in the showroom. I come home and told my wife where I was and she asked if I could show it to her. I brought her back and next thing I knew she was b.s.ing with the sales guy and a sold sign got put on with my name on it. That has been a few months ago and I couldn't be happier. The coolest thing is my wife is always looking to go for a ride now. I could have said screw this and bought myself a bike years ago but I have realigned my life putting god first my wife second and kids a very close third. The fact she was on board makes this pretty damn cool and I absolutely love my bike. I just need to keep my kids from bugging me all the time to take them.

Welcome aboard. I know how you feel. It took me 39 years to get my harley. The wife back in february said I was waiting long enough. I couldn't afford a new one. I found myself a 2005 Dyna Superglide wit 23,650 miles for only $5500.00. I enjoy riding whenever i get a chance.

Welcome!
I have to say, my wife has always supported my habit(s). She is the one that wanted me to go down and pick up my new 2014 Breakout. Good woman she is.
