Hey there! Happy to have stumbled upon this forum. I am a newbie rider. My husband has ridden his entire life. He used to be into dirtbikes and crotch rockets and I had no interest in either. He put me on a dirtbike that was too powerful and scared the crap out of me and that was the end of that, then I tried riding as a passenger on his crotch rockets a few times and well...it sucked. We're getting older now and he got his first Harley last Sept (ironically on MY birthday...hey....how does that work??) LOL. I LOOOOOVVVVEEE riding with him on the Harley. I love it so much I decided to take the class and learn to ride myself. I took the class, passed, got a Sportster to start with and now I'm too chicken to get out there. I know I'm not road ready just yet so I have been cruising around the parking lot of a local park. It's not ideal though becuase it's so small and all I can do is go in circles. He keeps trying to get me to ride around our subdivision but I haven't yet. I want to but am scared of going it alone! He has not offered to go with me yet but I am gonna ask. Why can't he read my mind?? Anyway, I am determined to do this and came here for advice and moral support!
