New Deuce Guy
Been around here for a couple of months. Actually used the forum to shop, buy and modify a bike already so I figured a formal introduction and thanks was in order.
Started riding as a kid. Took a long break until one of my kids got the bug and my wife finally agreed to let him ride. I went thru the Sportbike deal with him. He has now moved on to bigger and badder stuff and the "old" man wasn't cool enough anymore. That's graditude, eh?
In all my years of riding I was never a "Harley Guy". Probably not now either but I had to give it a try.
Did a lot of research and bought a nice Deuce from a very nice girl in NC. Did a tin swap and am now working on a couple of little glitches. First time I rode it I thought "It's OK but I don't see the big deal ya'll make about them".
THEN.... the other day on my second ride I decided to see how she did on the open road. I came down the on-ramp to the Interstate and rolled into the throttle. As I rolled up thru the gears and listen to the bark of the pipes only one thing came mind....
YEA BABY.....NOW I GET IT !!!!!!!
