First Time Harley Owner
Howdy all, from Austin Texas.
I'm new to the group, and new to Harleys in general. Just picked up a brand new (2013) Ultra Classic Limited. I've always loved the styling, and after shopping all the options (Victory, GW, Concourse, etc) I finally pulled the trigger on the Harley.
So is it normal to feel a weird urge to buy a t-shirt every friggin time I drive by a Harley dealership. I got my bike last Wed, then flew out of town on Thursday, and by the time I got back I had three new Harley T-shirts from each town in AZ I visited.
Been riding sport bikes for years - started with an FZ6 and got bored with that quickly, then went to a Ducati Monster 1100, then an Aprilia Tuono Factory. The Harley is a significant departure for me - a touring bike instead of a sport bike, and I'm loving the comfort, ability to carry stuff, and ability to listen to a radio.
I do miss the acceleration though...
Anyway - looking forward to this new adventure. Have fun, and hope to meet you all on the road, on the boards, or at a great burger joint. You can't miss me. I'm the guy who's used to riding a 450 pound bike, trying to push a 1000 lb bike backwards up a hill because I haven't figured out what to look for when parking yet....the little bikes are so easy to throw around. This new one - not so much.
