New member with my first bike!
Hello, and greetings from the frozen tundra that used to be coastal Carolina!
It's been a long time dream to learn to ride a motorcycle and for my 35th birthday that's finally what I did. From the first moment my feet left the ground, I knew I had to have one. I immediately couldn't get enough and my instructor called me a natural. It's a great feeling, but I knew that shitty little Honda Rebel they had me on wasn't going to cut it.
I drooled daily over the bikes for sale. Kinda knew I wanted a Harley because of their great resale value, and being in a military town, there's a million of them at really good prices.
I went in to the dealership one day with my good friend to just look and it took about 30 minutes before I said yes. Went to the bank and a total of 90 minutes later, it was mine!
It's not perfect, but it's mine. This winter has been crazy here when it's usually not very bad at all. What few chances I've had to ride, I've taken full advantage of. I love it, and can't wait for warmer weather!
Thanks for having me and I look forward to seeing you guys around!
