New guy from MI
Bought my first Harley on Black Friday. Been awhile since I've owned a road bike but loving my Fat Bob. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions so I would appreciate any advice and input.

Welcome to the forum, and the active poster side.
It's gonna be a long winter for you with that new ride staring at you. Nice choice.
Here in mid Michigan we might get a shot at riding before the new year but with the salt down already in my area the next chance, weather permitting and the conditions just right, has been the 1st or 2nd week of January. I rode Jaunary 12th this year and the 6th in 2012. From there it can be mid March, or the first of April before conditions are favorable to ride again.
For me conditions have to be a rainy period to wash the salt off the road as much as possible, then dry enough to ride the 1 block dirt road to get to the pavement. It has happened a couple of times in the last 5 years. Temps above 40 are nice, along with sunshine.
