V-Man,
I know the feeling. I'm originally from Boston/Providence area. As long as there wasn't snow on the roadway itself, I road. I actually prefer bundling up and riding when it's colder out.

The downside to AZ is that I feel it's too hot to ride here in the summer although I still do.
