Welcome to the board. As many have said, try them. And I concur, there is no such thing as too much power. You can always use less, but it is expensive to add more

I'm fairly new to this too.I've had my 05 Electra Glide Standard for a little over a month.

I LOVE IT!

Get the biggest bike you can,and you won't out grow it in 6 months.

I haven't owned a bike in 33 years and I bought a 93 Electra Glide.
Just like they say "It's like riding a bike"
Buy what you like and don't worry about the size.

Get the bike of your dreams if you can. Well worth the investment. Weather a Sportster, Heritage, Deluxe, Ultra, or one of the many other Harleys. What you want is what you should get. And don't worry hadn't ridden a bike in 12 years and got a heritage and felt at home in a very very short time on it. Good luck and enjoy.
