Returning member (San Antonio)...
Hey peoples,
I first joined the site almost 4 years ago when I got my Sportster (hence the username), however I ended up gravitating toward that other site that is more specific toward Sportsters so I didn't really hang around much. Well, just got back on a Harley in the form of a 2013 FXDB (got a helluva a deal taking it over a new 14 and I can suck up the slightly smaller motor) and decided to make my way back.
Umm... let's see, I like long walks on the beach, starlit dinners... Oh, crap, wrong site. <_<
Err... Try this again. I currently live in San Antonio, but I'm from the Northeast, and I've been riding two wheels since I could walk for the most part. Big wheel to bicycles to mini bikes to mopeds to dirt bikes to street bikes at around 17. I'm 32 now and still love riding as much as the first time I threw a leg over. I've owned sportsbikes, supermotos, a couple of metric cruisers, and now I'm on my second Harley.
I still love Sportsters (chop and bob, baby), however I have had a thing for West Coast style Dynas since since I first saw one sometime in the early 2000s and I have reached a point where I could actually afford one, so I bought one (there is also the fact that my wife has actually taken interest in riding with me, finally, and we all know how fun Sportsters are for two up). I just picked it up but I already have a good number of things on order and will have it on the way to being "mine" shortly. Got a nice head start by winning a $500 gift card during my "dealer poker run" while waiting for the finance guy, so it isn't as painful as it could be .
Anyway, that's pretty much it. Where's the beer?

Thanks all, happy to be here.
I just picked the bike up last Thursday night, which was promptly followed by 3 days of torrential downpours, and I work literally 3 miles from my house so I'm only at about 200 miles but I'm so far loving it. Some of my stuff came in today so I have put on the LePera Barebones seat and the flush mount gas gauge and filler cap. My blacked out horn cover should be here Thursday and I'm going to order my 10" WC Tbars in about 10 minutes. I also have the black, ribbed looking primary cover, but I am thinking of leaving that off until I get my 1000 mile service since they pull it anyway and shouldn't charge me to put the new one on (saves me from making a mess with the oil overflow. Oh, and I also stripped off the reflectors from the forks and rear fender, roar.
I'll be sure to get some pics up once the bars and horn cover are installed since I feel that will be a sufficient number of changes from stock to actual warrant a photo .
