Oh heck geneb, you have most definitely come to the wrong place! I'm most certain this forum will get you in trouble with either your better half or the bank, whichever comes first. This isn't just a past time, this is the real life. Get prepared for spending and making your bike your own. I have taken my time and gone real slow. In four years of owning my scoot, I have studied and contemplated all kinds of mods, but the main and most dramatic change to date has been my GD derby cover.
I'm not into all the higher horse mods sporting piggy back controllers, but I do like riding mine for all its worth. In four years, I have only had one true failure and that was my ignition switch going bad. Not to bad for a Harley! And so far all the parts I have needed were in stock and on the shelf. All but the manuals. I recommend ordering all three for your scoot. Whether you work on your own or not, It will provide you an education and familiarity that cannot be had anywhere for any price. Well, except for this forum! Lol
It's good to have you on board and I expect you will learn a lot whether you want it or not. The members run the gamut here. Their are Lawyers and real bikers here and answers to your questions will reflect this. Don't be offended and take it all with a grain of salt. You will learn something new each and every time you visit.
Until next time, ride safe and be happy. Never forget that the worst day riding is still better than the best day at work.
