Default New guy with a 2013 Forty-Eight

Hey everybody, I'm Jack.

Just picked up my new/lightly used Forty-Eight on Saturday. Got a good deal on it. Came with an aftermarket diamond stitch seat / air filter / white HD grips and only about 1000 miles. So far, I love it.....

Last 2 bikes were both Triumphs. I had a 2001 Daytona 955i and a 2009 Speed Triple 1050. Great bikes, both sport bikes. Wanted to try something new. Years ago, I thought HD bikes to be mainly old man bikes and oversized highway cruisers. When I saw the new 48 and 72 I realized I was dead wrong and picked one up. I love the old school bobber/chopper look and I cant wait to get into some upgrades.

Here's a couple pics,

And one of my boy...he's too little to ride but he's ready.

Yup, he'll be a 3rd generation Harley rider if the family has anything to say about it. It took me a while to come around but we all end up on Harley's eventually.

HEY EVERYBODY!!! Does anybody know how long it takes for PM's to activate??? I was searching forty eight threads with similar mods to figure out what all's been done to my bike and I think I found the original owner. I'd love to ask him if its got a stage 1 tune on it now and see what the other parts are but I cant PM!!!! BOOOO. Does this forum alert members for "mentions" if I just drop his screen name in my thread?
