Hi from Perth, Western Australia
Hi
One & all. Great to see a large number of Australians, especially from WA on the Forum.
A bit about myself.
I've had numerous 'metric' cruisers over the years with a Yamaha XVZ1300CT being my last one.
I decided to import and comply a Harley from the US. Bought mine from a dealership in Pen, shipped it to Cali, then Australia. Had it complied & registered & saved a lot of money.
Its a 2005 softail standard (carb version), one owner, 7250 Miles, keys, log books with V & H pipes and stock. Bought a HD Workshop manual & I love the simplicity of the bike.
I have a 3 inch ness extension kit on order, as I'm 6'3 (after reading advice on the forum). No other plans at this stage as I really enjoy the bike as is, BUT never say never.
I did agonize over buying a Victory 'High Ball' BUT the Harley won out.
All I can say about my Harley is there is NOTHING on this planet like firing it up & listening to that sweet sound as you ride down the road.
Looking to travel with my wife in 2 years time along the Southern States from Pen through Virginia, Miss, Alabama, Geo, Texas as I am a Civil War buff & want to see the battlefields first hand.
Anyway hope to contribute in the future to the forum & yeah please be patient as I have a ton of 'Newbie HD' questions.
Cheers
Darren
