Hi jay4bus,
I am new as well, I also have a '07 Road King Classic (for kicks the color is burgundy & cream) with 22000 mi. I'm 66 & been riding since 1965 on my 1st, a Sportster 900. Had many H-D's over the years but this FLHRC, I love this bike even when I thought I could swing another new one.
A week ago, I made an everyday start and the bike I love so much turned into a pumpkin. If your curious about what happened to mine just starting it, go to the top of this page to Forums, when it scrolls down go to General Harley-Davidson Tech Forums. It will scroll down again so click Primary/Transmission/Drive Line/Clutch.
The description of what I wrote is "Having problems with them all" I bet you'll never believe the extent of damage I have from simply starting my bike. Three H-D mechanics just scratch their heads in disbelief & no one can believe what they saw so far. Give it a look, since you have a 2007 RK.
We found the exact thing happened to a 2008 RK owner with 14,000 miles.
