hello there

I was wondering if someone could give me advice on what would be a good first bike to buy.

I was at the harley dealership this week looking at bikes, and talked to sales guy. and he pointed me to a 2013 street bob.

I have alot of buddies that ride harleys, mostly street glides, and almost everyone told me that the street bob is too small of a bike for me.

here are my stats, I am 6'2 220lbs with 36inch long arm reach.

I also sat on a fat bob and a wide glide and these both felt good when I sat on them, didn't really need to adjust anything to them when I sat on them

the street bob they were gonna put the controls to forward controls for me bc of my leg length.

my question is what is a good starter bike for me to get a street bob a fat bob or a wide glide, and remember I am a new rider.

any ideas would help. bc Im new

I'm 6ft and 205, long *** arms, and I ride an 06' street bob and love it, I put 12in Road 6 apes on it, really feels good and not to big at all. I wish I had gone a bit taller on the bars, maybe 14-16in, but I'm a cheap-*** and didn't wanna pay for now wires/cables. All in all, steet bob feels great for me, though you may wanna go with those forward controls. Good luck, let us know what you end up with
