New member, still riding Japanese Crap (for now...)

Nothing wrong at all with Japanese bikes. I have owned several Japanese bikes, all sport bikes. I still have a sport bike. My wife actually prefers riding our big Ninja on longer 2 up trips. But for me, I'm much more comfortable on the H-D. Congratulations on your decision. You will love it. I don't know why I waited all these years to get a H-D. My wife was the first to get a Harley, a year later I copied her.
Enjoy and be safe.

I wish I were able to keep both, and in terms of bombing down backroads I couldn't imagine the Softail Breakout handling better than my Warrior. I had (I have!) great riding experiences carving up the roads of Southern Ontario on my metric.I know I'm pretty much trading up to a bike that does not handle as well, and I do love the twisties. I just figure that I don't need a better handling bike to enjoy riding hard; pushing a bike to its limits (or my own limits anyway) is always satisfying no matter what those limits are. And, to me, Harleys have always been the baddest bikes you can get!
I do hope I get the bike soon, though. I really cannot buy the bike until I get someone to take over the lease of my car. I did my homework of course, my lease is readily transferable with none of that "the former leasee is responsible for this-or-that" nonsense. I've had a few inqueries already, with a showing coming up.
Once the car is gone, I'm getting my hog asap!
